PRC- LET Result - Sulu examinee gets highest passing percentage
Friday, February 12, 2010

The long wait is over. The result of the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET) conducted in October 4, 2009 was finally released last February 3, 2010. After getting the results from the different testing centers throughout the country, the Board for Professional Teachers issued Resolution 34-A and 35-A holding in abeyance the result for the elementary level of the three provinces of Sulu, Tawi-Tawi and Palawan. Accordingly, there were anomalies committed by the test takers during the examination which resulted to the high percentage of passing. Test takers from Sulu were worried while many speculated that the test result will be declared null and void.

Upon his return from the Hajj pilgrimage, the Provincial Governor of Sulu, the Honorable Sakur M. Tan was informed by the Provincial PRC Coordinator of the issue. On his return trip to Manila, our beloved Governor consulted the Board of Professional Teachers and PRC Manila, hence a Resolution was issued by the Board for the release of the result.

On February 3, 2010, the result of the LET was released through the Internet. Out of 1,358 elementary test takers in Sulu, 467 passed the test or an outstanding 34% rate of passing, the highest so far in the history of Sulu. The Provincial Government, through the Provincial PRC Coordinator arranged for the conduct of the Oath Taking Ceremony here in Jolo. The schedule will be announced later pending approval by PRC.

Meanwhile, PRC Region IX is preparing for the registration of LET test takers scheduled for April 2010. And we hope to maintain the prestige that we have at the moment, and prove to the whole world that TAUSUGS are mentally well-off and can compete globally in terms of intellectual capacity.(Hji.
