Houses on stilts being built in the Municipality of Maimbung are sights to behold, starting with few identical units built along the streets as soon as one enters the municipality, one feels welcomed by red-roofed houses on stilts.

Travel less than an hour more, in the mangrove areas, the number of housing units kept increasing. A communal comfort room with septic tank and a meeting place where people closely watches the waves and the sunset towards the historic Pata Island, reminisce the grandiose of tubig palan and countless trips of fishermen loading their bountiful harvest from the sea.
